Let us watch your lake home

Lake of the Ozarks - Bagnall Dam

Home Watch is the visual inspection of a home or property, looking for obvious issues.

When you are away you want to know that your home, condominium, or cabin is safe and will be in the same condition when you return as when you left. At Lake Guard we will inspect all these types of properties inside and out as often as you like. We are your advocate, communicator, and privacy source. If any issues do arise, we can collaborate with you and decide the best course of action. If we cannot fix it ourselves, we can provide you with a list of professionals who can remedy the situation. I have an extensive background in the appliance and HVAC industry. I understand mechanical systems. My experience growing up on a farm taught me the value of hard work, the importance of maintenance, and how to recognize issues before they get too big. I know how to take preventative measures and how to repair things when they break. I retired after 30+ years in corporate America. I worked in the fields of engineering, operations, and supply chain management in increasingly more responsible leadership roles.

Tim has monitored our lake house, boats and dock for over three years. Tim has proven to be mechanically inclined and assisted with issues on our boat lift. I never hesitate to get Tim’s opinion on issues involving HVAC or electrical issues. It’s been reassuring having a trusted resource we can count on to follow through and communicate with us.

Don & Mary Kay C.

Lake homeowners for 10 years

Having a trustworthy, friendly, and knowledgeable person like Tim available to monitor our lake home while we are away is a blessing and a comfort to us. Our property and belongings are physically observed for any damage from storms, wildlife or any other event, which is more than cameras can do. He is our “Go-to” guy and is always willing to lend a hand when needed.

Family Lake home for 70 years

Tim has been maintaining our vacation home, dock and boats for over three years. He has proven to be a valued resource of mechanical and home maintenance information. It is such a blessing to us knowing that Tim is making sure our home is secure when we cannot be there.

Jeff and Pam R.

Lake home owners for 13 years

My wife and I have lived on this lake for more than 6 years. From our own experience as homeowners and boat owners, we understand what is needed to take care of your home, condominium, cabin, or boat dock. There are many challenges throughout the year that will present themselves in or near your home. During winter, your property can be affected by freezing temperatures, ice, and dropping water levels on the lake. In the spring, rain showers can find leaks in your roof or windows, and there is the danger of potential flooding and fluctuating temperatures. Summer brings with it severe weather including thunderstorms, damaging high winds, and hot temperatures with humidity. In the autumn, falling leaves can clog gutters and we also must contend with the end of the summer boating season. There are also other dangers such as squatters, animals such as bears, raccoons, opossums, skunks, squirrels, bats, snakes, birds, insects, and rodents that want to get inside your home, condominium, cabin, or boat. Your property is a big investment. Lake Guard is your eyes, ears and nose helping to provide you and your family with peace of mind. We can see issues such as mold, broken windows or break in. We can hear issues such as running water, a squeaky bearing on a fan motor or rodents scurrying in your attic. We can smell issues such as sewer gas from a kitchen sink, spoiled food in a malfunctioning refrigerator or a burning smell that could be coming from an overheated electrical outlet. Smart homes are great, but they can only be your eyes and ears if the electricity is on. If you lose your wi-fi the smart homes are shut down.
